IST 250 : New media and the Web
Instructor : Zig Herzog
This course will provide an introduction to how the world wide web
utilizes new media technologies. Students will acquire a sound
conceptual understanding of how simple to complex web sites are
constructed, and how this knowledge can be applied in their
professional career. Knowledge gained in this course will dovetail
into the IST New Media Track.
Web site design, authoring, and management are introduced in this
course, as well as multimedia issues, e-commerce, and new and
emerging technologies.
This course contains both lecture and lab periods, combining
traditional teaching methods with hands-on cooperative learning
techniques.
