Your final grade in this course will be based on your performance
in
- three exams during the semester (mid-terms)
- a final comprehensive exam during the finals week
- a set of problems assigned either as homework problems
or as in-class problems.
In each of the
three exams during the semester, the final exam and the
collection of assigned problems
you can obtain a maximum of 100 points, out of which the
four best scores will be added to obtain your final score
( max = 400 points).
The total number of
points you achieve will be converted to a letter grade. Although
the relationship between achieved points and letter grades will not
be determined until all "data" are in, the following table is typical.
A = 376-400 C+ = 301-315
A- = 361-375 C = 272-300
B+ = 346-360 D = 230-271
B = 331-345 F = 0-229
B- = 316-330
