| Course overview: |
Welcome to the freshman engineering course! This is a design-driven curriculum with emphasis placed on skills such as: team work, communication skills (graphical, oral, and written), and computer-aided analysis tools. The curriculum will introduce you to the engineering approach to problem solving with strong references to basic science and math skills, as well as testing and evaluating design ideas as part of the Design/built/test/compete Module of this course.
Trying to become an engineer is not easy in itself but then one has to learn how to work in groups which may include people who are not engineers. Often this leads to problems.
This course consists of the following six modules :
- Learning about computers (Hard- and software,Internet, remote diskspaces)
- Lab Skills
- Technical Drawing by hand ( isometric, orthogonal views )
Start : Week 6 of classes- 3-D Cad
Start : Day 20 of classes- Design Project
