Follow the instructions given in Lesson 1 (Parts) of the on-line
tutorial of the program SolidWorks. As you go through this lesson
save work at intermediate steps under different names for the
files in the native file format as well as in jpeg format.
Create a website (with link from your EDG100 homepage) which shows
as images the jpeg files and provides links to your SolidWorks
files. Your page shall look like my example.

This work can be done in class using the
checkered paper available on the web
and handed in to me right then and there. Please bring a soft pencil
and some type of straight edge. Your drawings must obey the rules of
placement and alignments among the 3 orthogonal views and preservation
of lengths.

Project 1 : Create you homepage
Due September 15, 2008
Please accomplish the following :
- Create your own homepage, as guidance and source of examples you may
use a gallery provided for you at
http://portfolio.psu.edu/.
Please include a picture of yours, not necessarily the one we took
in class. After creating and testing the file ( use index.html as its
name ) on the cluster you may copy it over to the PASS space.
You might want to rename the index.html allready in the PASS space
( your temporary homepage ) to something else in case things go wrong.
Feel free to use my
IST 250 course material as resource.
- Your new homepage should contain a link to an entry page to
this course (EDSGN 100) the pages for which are to be contained in a
sub-directory in your www directory.
