Course Objectives

This is a course in introductory problem solving and programming techniques. No prior knowledge in computer science is assumed. The programming language is Perl which is available in the IST computer lab, 1 Bookstore Building. We will be using Linux as operating system. Although this course is open to all majors it is geared towards the needs of the IST ( Information Sciences and Technology ) program. Students majoring in IST MUST take CMPSC 101 either concurrently or prior to IST 250.
